GC2018 Legacy Exhibition

Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre, Carrara

The City of Gold Coast engaged Blue Sky View to design and deliver a permanent exhibition celebrating the legacy of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. The exhibition showcases the Games' enduring impact on the city through a vibrant collection of images, films, and objects sourced from the City’s own collection, Commonwealth Games Australia, and both public and private lenders.

Located along the busy ‘Street’ level of the Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre, the exhibition was designed to be robust, accessible, and visually engaging—capable of withstanding high foot traffic and the occasional stray basketball. The exhibition not only commemorates a defining moment in the city’s history but also reflects the Gold Coast’s ongoing identity as a destination for sport, culture, and community celebration.
